Lemont represented at All-State Theatre Production for first time since 2016

Lemont High School was represented in the main event at the country’s largest statewide theatre festival for the first time since 2016.

Junior Julia Macari was part of the cast for the 2025 Illinois High School Theatre Festival All-State Production, “The Prom.”

The festival was held from Jan. 9-11 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. The production was performed five times over the course of the festival in front of more than 3,000 students from across the state.

Macari filled the role of Angie, one of eight lead roles in “The Prom.” More than 300 students auditioned to be part of the cast, with just 40 selected.
