DuPage County reports 85 COVID-19 cases Tuesday, lowest since December, and 1 death

The DuPage County Health Department on Tuesday reported 85 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the county, with 1 death, a woman in her 80s.

It is the fewest single-day cases reported since Dec. 18.

The county now has seen a total of 68,835 coronavirus cases including 1,111 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of Jan. 26 was 98.1%.

DuPage County has administered 74,636 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. A total of 20,353 residents, or 2.19% of the population, have been fully vaccinated.

By town, Wheaton has had 3,692 total cases, Glen Ellyn 2,617, Lombard 3,583, Villa Park 2,155, Hinsdale 1,109, Westmont 1,742, Darien 1,424, Woodridge 2,140, Downers Grove 3,266, Elmhurst 3,540, Warrenville 1,095 and Winfield 895. Addison has had 4,222 confirmed cases, Naperville 5,839, Carol Stream 3,700 and West Chicago 3,790.
