The DuPage County Health Department on Tuesday reported 76 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the county, with 3 deaths: 2 men in their 50s and 1 man in his 60s.
The county now has seen a total of 70,714 coronavirus cases including 1,158 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of Feb. 9 was 98.2%.
DuPage County has administered 134,093 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. A total of 34,919 people, or 3.76% of the population, have been fully vaccinated.
The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen 15 consecutive days at or under 6.5%. The region’s positivity rate increased to 4.3%. Currently, 28% of ICU beds are available.
The region has 65 consecutive days over the 20% threshold for ICU bed availability.
Within this region, Kane County’s seven-day positivity average is at 4.6% and DuPage County is at 4.2%.
Hospitalizations have decreased or remained stable for 10 out of the last 10 days in this region.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,348 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 and 32 additional deaths Tuesday, and a total of 1,863,562 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
By town, Wheaton has had 3,791 total cases, Glen Ellyn 2,700, Lombard 3,716, Villa Park 2,220, Hinsdale 1,157, Westmont 1,794, Darien 1,472, Woodridge 2,204, Downers Grove 3,383, Elmhurst 3,627, Warrenville 1,109 and Winfield 920. Addison has had 4,301 confirmed cases, Naperville 6,087, Carol Stream 3,793 and West Chicago 3,863.
