The DuPage County Health Department on Thursday reported 74 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the county, with no deaths.
The county now has seen a total of 71,662 coronavirus cases including 1,190 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of Feb. 9 was 98.2%.
DuPage County has administered 179,881 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. A total of 51,277 people, or 5.52% of the population, have been fully vaccinated.
The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen 36 consecutive days under 8%. The region’s positivity rate stayed flat at 3.8%. Currently, 30% of ICU beds are available.
The region has 74 consecutive days over the 20% threshold for ICU bed availability.
Within this region, Kane County’s seven-day positivity average is at 4.0%, and DuPage County is at 3.7%.
Hospitalizations have decreased 10 out of the past 10 days in this region.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,884 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 and 32 additional deaths Thursday, and a total of 2,440,950 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
By town, Wheaton has had 3,844 total cases, Glen Ellyn 2,727, Lombard 3,749, Villa Park 2,237, Hinsdale 1,172, Westmont 1,811, Darien 1,494, Woodridge 2,231, Downers Grove 3,451, Elmhurst 3,674, Warrenville 1,119 and Winfield 928. Addison has had 4,349 confirmed cases, Naperville 6,223, Carol Stream 3,823 and West Chicago 3,902.
