The DuPage County Health Department on Tuesday reported 146 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the county, with no deaths.
The county now has seen a total of 72,947 coronavirus cases including 1,204 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of Feb. 23 was 98.2%.
DuPage County has administered 262,804 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. A total of 89,773 people, or 9.67% of the population, have been fully vaccinated.
The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen 48 consecutive days under 8%. The region’s positivity rate increased to 4.7%. Currently, 30% of ICU beds are available.
The region has 86 consecutive days over the 20% threshold for ICU bed availability.
Within this region, Kane County’s seven-day positivity average is at 4.8% and DuPage County is at 4.6%.
Hospitalizations have decreased or remained stable for nine out of the last 10 days in this region.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,510 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 and 16 additional deaths Tuesday, and a total of 3,463,150 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
The seven-day rolling average of Illinois’ positivity rate stayed flat at 2.3%. The state received the results of 53,445 COVID-19 tests in the 24 hours leading up to Tuesday afternoon.
By town, Wheaton has had 3,944 total cases, Glen Ellyn 2,790, Lombard 3,800, Villa Park 2,283, Hinsdale 1,193, Westmont 1,837, Darien XXX, Woodridge 2,274, Downers Grove 3,539, Elmhurst 3,745, Warrenville 1,153 and Winfield 945. Addison has had 4,399 confirmed cases, Naperville 6,424, Carol Stream 3,895 and West Chicago 3,971.
