The DuPage County Health Department on Monday reported 169 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the county, with 1 death, a man in his 50s.
The county now has seen a total of 82,980 coronavirus cases including 1,297 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of March 30 was 98.3%.
DuPage County has administered 504,557 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. A total of 183,581 people, or 19.77% of the population, have been fully vaccinated.
The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen 75 consecutive days below 8%. The region’s positivity rate increased to 6.5%. Currently, 36% of ICU beds are available.
Within this region, Kane County’s seven-day positivity average increased to 7.2% and DuPage County’s increased to 6.2%.
Hospitalizations have increased eight out of the past 10 days in this region.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,102 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 and 11 additional deaths Monday, and a total of 6,318,070 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
By town, Wheaton has had 4,453 total cases, Glen Ellyn 3,136, Lombard 4,267, Villa Park 2,499, Hinsdale 1,437, Westmont 2,092, Darien 1,771, Woodridge 2,652, Downers Grove 4,310, Elmhurst 4,343, Warrenville 1,290 and Winfield 1,086. Addison has had 4,787 confirmed cases, Naperville 7,767, Carol Stream 4,371 and West Chicago 4,293.
