Cooper Malamazian, who helped lead Nazareth to back-to-back state championships in 2022 and 2023 and an unbeaten regular season this spring, was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday in the 17th round of the Major League Baseball Draft.

Jude Warwick, who hit a walk-off home run in a sectional final in May to give Downers Grove North its first sectional championship since 2004, was drafted on Tuesday by the Detroit Tigers in the 12th round of the Major League Baseball Draft.

Ryan Sloan, a hard-throwing right-handed pitcher who led York to back-to-back state tournament appearances in 2023 and 2024, was selected on Sunday night by the Seattle Mariners in the second of the MLB Draft with the 55th pick.
