BOYS BASKETBALL

Downers Grove North 54, Hinsdale Central 43

Kyle Engstler poured in 26 points and Jack Mielke added 17 for the Trojans at Hinsdale. Ben Oosterbaan had 16 points and Charlie Sessa had 10 for the Red Devils.

Glenbard West 62, Glenbard South 43

Braden Huff scored 19 points and Renfro and Warden added 13 apiece for the Hilltoppers (3-0).

Riverside-Brookfield 77, Chicago Christian 70

Juniors JP Hanley scored 23 points, Cory Baker 17 and Joe Gilhooley 15 to pace the Bulldogs.

Timothy Christian 55, Nazareth 34

Ben VanderWal scored 22 points and Josh Harris added 11 to lead the Trojans. Dominic Trelenberg scored 14 to pace Nazareth.

Hannah Schuringa had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Grace Roland 15 points and 11 rebounds for Timothy Christian.

St. Charles North 55, Wheaton Warrenville South 43

Lily Huntzinger had 11 points and Campbell Bastian and Ella Crawford nine points apiece for the Tigers (2-1, 0-1) in their DuKane Conference opener. Hannah Struebing added eight rebounds.

York 50, Lyons Township 47 (OT)

Megan Juneman scored 15 points and Sydney Molis added 10 for the Dukes (2-0, 1-0 West Suburban Silver) in the overtime conference opener. Kaitlyn Kjome and Mariann Blass each added nine for York. Lindsey Hahn led Lyons (1-1, 0-1) with 15 points and Olivia Mezan added nine.

Glenbard West 58, Leyden 31

Kennedy Brandt 15 scored 15 points, Renee Seaney 11 and Sophia Brown 10 for the Hilltoppers.

St. Francis 45, Bishop McNamara 29

Katie De Craene scored 12 points and Dolly Smith nine for the Spartans.
