Montini and IC Catholic Prep each had four wrestlers win Class 2A semifinal matches Friday at the IHSA state wrestling tournament and will wrestle for state championships Saturday night. Lemont's Judah Heeg also advanced to the championship match.

Jaxon Lane has already checked off one item of unfinished business in his athletic calendar this school year. Two more to go. The Montini senior, who lost in the blood round at state last year, is one of 10 Broncos' qualifiers at this weekend's state meet in Champaign.

Here are the Suburban Life-area qualifiers for the IHSA individual state wrestling meet.

Montini had seven sectional champions and 10 state qualifiers at Saturday's Class 2A Hinsdale South Sectional, Glenbard West freshman Khloe Perez and Hinsdale South's Callie Carr stayed unbeaten with sectional championships at Schaumburg and more in Saturday's roundup.

Marmion had 11 of its 14 wrestlers punch their ticket to the Class 3A state meet, with five wrestlers winning sectional titles at the Class 3A Hinsdale Central Sectional. West Aurora and Glenbard West each had four wrestlers qualify for the state meet.

IC Catholic won six sectional titles and advanced 12 wrestlers to the IHSA individual state tournament after a strong showing at Saturday's Class 2A Crystal Lake Central Sectional.

St. Charles East sent a dozen wrestlers into the finals of Saturday’s Class 3A St. Charles East regional in claiming a regional crown. Glenbard North was second and DeKalb third.
