Caroline Kramer and Kit Schneider won individual championships in the 50 freestyle and 100 breastroke to lead Hinsdale Central to second at state, while St. Charles North won the meet-ending 400 freestyle relay to get third. Oswego Co-op's Katie Gresik was second in the 500 free.
York sophomore Sophia Amendola was part of two first place relay teams, and was victorious as well in the 100 butterfly, leading the Dukes to the sectional title at Elk Grove.
Jack Burke led team runner-up Plainfield by qualifying for state in four events, while Benet's Jack Larson won the 50 freestyle and qualified for state in two events and Oswego co-op's Tanner Stumpenhorst took second in the 100 butterfly to qualify for state.
