GLEN ELLYN – A presentation on the life and times of fashion design icon Coco Chanel will be presented at 2 p.m. March 12 by the Glen Ellyn Historical Society.

Actress and historian Maria Boundas Bakalis will portray her in her original one-woman play titled “Coco Chanel: A Life By Design,” a news release stated.

Celebrating Women’s History Month, the program will be held in the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St.

Chanel’s creative designs in dress, jewelry and perfumery captured the imaginations of women worldwide. Chanel’s “little black dress,” her string of pearls and her signature scent, Chanel No. 5, have all become fashion classics.
