Glen Ellyn History Center to host St. Patrick’s concert

GLEN ELLYN – Singer-songwriter and actor Rick Pickren will deliver a traditional St. Patrick’s concert and sing-along at 2 p.m. March 5, presented by the Glen Ellyn Historical Society.

Pickren will treat the audience to traditional Irish songs that include “Danny Boy” and “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling,” a news release stated. The concert takes place in the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St.

His performances have been on PBS, and his recordings were featured on the television show “The Good Wife.” Appearances with such artists as Dolly Parton, The Judds, and George Strait have rounded out his career.
