Join Morton College For the 4th Annual Women’s EmpowHERment Conference!

The 4th annual Women’s EmpowHERment Conference (WEC) will be presented by Morton College on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Morton College, located at 3801 S. Central Avenue in Cicero. The conference begins at 9:00 a.m.

“This annual conference was created by a group of women on our campus who had our community in mind,” explained Gabriela Mata, Director of Student Activities for Morton College. “We’re excited to welcome participants back on campus, and we plan to deliver an outstanding conference experience for all attendees.”

The WEC is open to anyone interested in attending. “This event celebrates the triumphs of women throughout history, offers an uplifting environment, and focuses on empowering the women who make up our community,” added Mata. “This year’s conference is titled “I Am Empowered” as a nod to our original idea when we first introduced the concept in 2019. Participants will walk away feeling empowered, having gained new professional skills and having access to community resources.” More information is available at www.morton.edu/wec.

Attendees will be welcomed with a swag bag and will have a variety of workshop options. “Workshop topics will vary and will be centered around leadership, career and professional development, health, entrepreneurship, and more,” said Mata. “Our goal is to provide attendees with tools that will help them feel more empowered and ready to advance their careers or take the next step to accomplish their goals. This event also offers a terrific opportunity to network, and we encourage attendees to meet, connect, and engage.”
