Having just completed our 125th year of serving Elmhurst businesses and the community, the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry thanks members who have remained loyal to our business organization, newer members who started their own business, and resident and non-resident consumers who steadfastly patronize Chamber members.
Our unique combination of products, programs, services and events—from the website to the Annual Elmhurst Community Directory, from the New Resident Greeter Tote to the “Shop Members First” Member Messages, from multi-chamber gatherings to monthly networking events—makes Chamber membership the most cost-effective use of any business’ marketing dollar.
In January, our 2024 Directory will be Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM)-delivered to some 19,800 residential, business, and Post Office Box addresses across Elmhurst, with up to 1,000 more hand-delivered in the New Resident Greeter Tote.
Website features include a pageable version of the Directory and a Menus at a Glance page providing quick links to menus and online ordering at members’ restaurants and bars.
Also this month, Elmhurst Mayor Scott Levin delivers his Annual “State of Our City” Mayoral Address during our January 18 Membership Breakfast hosted at Community Bank of Elmhurst, and DuPage County Board Chair Deb Conroy delivers her “State of the County” Address during a Multi-Chamber Luncheon and Business Expo in Lombard on January 17.
During 2023, our Chamber co-organized April’s 21st Annual Economic Outlook Multi-Chamber Luncheon and Business Expo, featuring Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago economist Leslie McGranahan, partnered with the Elmhurst Police Department in June to stage an “Active Shooter Preparedness Training” program for businesses, and organized August’s Multi-Chamber Hunger Action Luncheon featuring Steve “The Food Guy” Dolinsky.
Last August, our 31st Annual New Teachers Luncheon returned as an in-person event, with members interacting with teachers new to Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 during orientation at York Community High School.
