Natali Haynes, the 6-foot-2 senior center for the Streator Bulldogs girls basketball team, was named to the Associated Press Class 3A all-state team as an honorable mention honoree.
Haynes was a repeat member of the AP honorable mention list, the Illinois Central Eight all-conference, and The Times all-area first team after averaging 17.3 points, 15 rebounds and 4.5 blocked shots per game in her final prep season, all adding to her own school records.
The Division II Quincy University signee, Haynes finished with 1,309 points, over 1,500 rebounds, and 400 blocked shots in her four-year varsity career

Hinckley-Big Rock, 25-10, 25-10: At Newark, Megan Williams pounded out 15 kills and Taylor Christian totaled 25 assists to lead the Norsemen to the easy two-set win in the Little Ten Conference Tournament. Cassidy Adams added six digs and an ace to NHS (15-2, 9-0 LTC), which advances to the semifinals against Serena at 6 p.m. Thursday.
La Salle-Peru def. Sandwich, 25-14, 25-17: In La Salle, the Indians dropped to 8-13 overall, 6-7 in the Interstate Eight Conference with the loss, despite seven kills by Sophia Datoli, 11 assists from Cailyn Brummel and five digs by Olive Tomga.
