Library announces schedule of events for the week of Nov. 22

The following events are scheduled the week of Nov. 22 at Reddick Library, 1010 Canal St., Ottawa. Call 815-434-0509 for information.

6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22: Crafter hours, adults. Participants will be making a festive gnome ornament for the holidays. Registration is required as supplies are limited. To reserve a spot for this class, call the library or stop by the front circulation desk.

10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23: Ready, Set, Read! ages 3-6. A story time to help children develop literacy skills while enjoying songs, dances and stories. Pre-registration is required. Contact the library for details.

4:30 to 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23: Thanksgiving STEAM, kindergarten through second grade. Come and make corn dance, create a sink or float Mayflower, and top it off by making a turkey decoration to take home that is perfect for the dinner table.

10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24: Shake, Rattle, Read! ages 9-36 months. A fun, musical story time. Pre-registration is required. Contact the library for details.

Thursday, Nov. 25: Library closed for Thanksgiving.

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27: Games, Games and Games, third through 12th grade. Come and join the library for some Mario Kart. They also will have Cards Against Humanity (Family Edition) and Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza card games to play. Choose one to play with friends, or play all three.

1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27: Loop Group. Learn how to knit or crochet in a fun environment with knowledgeable people. Everyone is welcome to drop in.
