Starved Rock Civil War Round Table announces 2021-22 program schedule

Programs will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in room 420 of the Ottawa Township High School

Members of the Starved Rock Civil War Round Table meet to clean up Wallace-Dickey Cemetery on Ottawa's north bluff. The group has released its program schedule for 2021-22.

The Starved Rock Civil War Round Table has announced their upcoming schedule for their 2021-22 programs. The programs will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in room 420 of the Ottawa Township High School and be open to the public.

The programs will take place on the following days:


• Hero or Traitor, Part 1: Wednesday, Sept. 15, with presenter Ron Slack.

• The Caudill Army: Wednesday, Oct. 20, with presenter Scott Buennemeyer.

• Richard Oglesby: Wednesday, Nov. 17, with presenter Drew Jessen.

• 1st Alabama Cavalry: Wednesday, Jan. 19, with Chuck Stanley.

• Col. Douglas Hapeman: Wednesday, Feb. 16, with Lorraine McCallister.

• The Zouaves: Wednesday, March 16, with Deanna Carlson.

• Reenactments, Real or Fake: Wednesday, April 20, with Jayson Thiry.

•The Poundstone Flag: Wednesday, May 18, with David Reed.
