The Father Edward Farrell Knights of Columbus 5591 in Princeton presented a check for $3,000 to Gateway Services.

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization committed to supporting people who have intellectual disabilities in the community. Each year, the Knights of Columbus host a Tootsie Roll Drive to raise money for these organizations, and all funds remain local.

Gateway Services CEO Tracy Wright said the donation will go to services and supports for the nearly 200 people supported by Gateway.

“We can’t thank the Knights of Columbus enough for their ongoing commitment to people with disabilities,” Wright said. “It’s astounding!”

Gateway Services was established in 1970, the same year that the first Tootsie Roll Drive occurred in Chicago. Services are provided for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in Bureau, Marshall and Putnam Counties. To learn more, visit www.gateway-services.org or find them on Facebook.
