President, CEO of regional economic group resigns

NCIEDC will evaluate mission, look to future

President and CEO Mike Kirchhoff, of the North Central Illinois Economic Development Corporation, will resign his position Aug. 6.

Kirchhoff, who has held the role since 2019, will be assuming a role as key account executive for Ameren on Aug. 9.

“We appreciate all that Mike has done for NCIEDC is his two years with us and wish him great success in his new role,” said board chairperson John McCormick. “We will take this opportunity to evaluate our current mission and look forward to the NCIEDC’s future.”

The NCIEDC is focused on creating shared prosperity and economic opportunity in La Salle, Bureau and Putnam counties by marketing the region’s locational advantages for business investment.
