The Very Rev. Thomas Otto unveiled a new statue honoring St. Joseph in the grotto outside St. Hyacinth Church, La Salle. The statue commemorates the Year of St. Joseph as well as the defunct La Salle church of the same name.

The Rev. Glenn Harris blesses the new statue of St. Joseph in the grotto at St. Hyacinth Church, La Salle. Harris, now a pastor in Rock Island County, is a La Salle native and, as of this writing, the last product of the La Salle Catholic Parishes to have been ordained a priest. (Tom Collins)
