Mendota mailboxes damaged; post office reminds residents of other options

The U.S. Postal Service mailboxes on Veterans Parkway in Mendota were demolished by a vehicle at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday.

Mail boxes are available in the First State Bank parking lot at 706 Washington St., Sullivan’s Foods at 1102 Meriden St., in front of Lakeside Liquors on Meriden Street and next to Casey’s General Store on Main Street.

The U.S. Post Office is working to get the mailboxes back in order.
