The Morris Walmart had a heavy presence of police, firefighters, and paramdedics Saturday morning as they took local children through the store to do some Christmas shopping.
The first responders took the kids from aisle to aisle looking for items like coats, clothing, shoes and more.
The kids also received toys, and followed the event with lunch, visits with Santa, and more at the First Christian Church on the south side of Morris.
The Shop with a Local Hero event is put on by Grundy Couny Heroes and Helpers, and this year it helped 165 kids pick out necessities for home and toys to make for a better Christmas.
