Periods of snow accumulating to around two inches are expected to impact travel from 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, into Friday, Dec. 20, with reduced visibility and slippery travel mainly north of Interstate 80, according to the National Weather Service.
Freezing rain is also possible overnight into Friday, according to the weather service.
Lake effect snow is expected into Friday night in northwest Indiana, accumulating between one and three inches.

Snow showers are also likely Friday morning in northern Illinois, with up to an inch of snow possible, along with wind gusts as high as 35 mph.
