Procter & Gamble’s Greater Chicago Fulfillment Center in Morris and the United Way of Grundy County partnered to collect holiday cards for local veterans, distributing them through the Grundy County Veterans Assistance Commission.
“The Veterans and Reservists Affinity Group is excited to establish partnerships with United Way and Grundy County Veterans. We aim to strengthen the assistance provided to our local heroes.” said Justin M., a Veterans and Reservists Affinity Group Leader with Procter & Gamble.
“Whether individuals, small businesses or corporations, Grundy County is very supportive of veterans and service members,” said Ken Buck, Superintendent of the Grundy County Veterans Assistance Commission. “We never cease to be amazed by the generosity of the community, and we are thankful for the opportunity to work with the United Way and P&G. Whether handwritten thank you notes from school children on Veterans Day or Christmas cards during the holidays, our veterans appreciate knowing their community supports them.”
“We truly appreciate Procter & Gamble and its employees for their continued care for others in our community,” said Karen Nall, Executive Director, United Way of Grundy County. “Thinking of our local veterans during the holidays is just one example of P&G’s efforts to support the communities that they serve, live and work in.”
The United Way of Grundy County supports programs that provide basic human needs, health, education, income stability, mental health services, homeless prevention, crisis intervention, disability services, transportation and disaster relief for youth, individuals, families, seniors and veterans.
