Snow will develop Thursday afternoon and across portions of northern Illinois, possibly causing some hazardous travel.
The National Weather Service said the line will produce about an inch or more of snow. The path on the northern edge will reach from Dixon, move east across the Joliet area and into northwest Indiana.
Areas with higher risks include Ottawa, Grundy County and into Kankakee, the NWS said.
The snow will continue into the evening, gradually ending from west to east by midnight in northwest Indiana, the NWS said.
Snow is expected to accumulate on untreated roadways, resulting in hazardous travel conditions.
