Logan Darragh posts double-double in win for Huntley: Friday’s Northwest Herald sports roundup

Boys basketball

Huntley 59, Crystal Lake Central 48: At Crystal Lake, Logan Darragh had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Red Raiders to a Fox Valley Conference win against the Tigers.

Will Dillon had 13 points and seven rebounds and Christian Wilson tossed in 10 points.

Crystal Lake South 62, Prairie Ridge 42: At Crystal Lake, AJ Demirov tallied 23 points and five assists to lead the Gators to an FVC victory.

Cooper Buelna had nine points and eight rebounds, Carson Trivellini scored nine points and Tony Santarelli added eight points, seven rebounds and four steals.

Eli Loeding had 14 points for Prairie Ridge. Sam Kirk had 10.

Woodstock 61, Marengo 38: At Marengo, the Blue Streaks ran away for a Kishwaukee River Conference win behind 29 points and six 3-pointers from Max Beard.

Derek Bibbings had 20 points for Marengo.

Richmond-Burton 61, Harvard 30: At Richmond, Christian Irslinger put 22 points on the board to lead the Rockets to a KRC win. Luke Robinson had 19 points and Gavin Radmer had 14.

Adam Cooke scored 22 points to lead Harvard.

Johnsburg 62, Sandwich 58: At Johnsburg, the Skyhawks battled and pulled ahead for a KRC win. Jarrel Albea had a team-high 14 points and Jayce Schmitt and JT Schmitt both scored 13. Riley Johnson added 11 points and three 3s.

Dundee-Crown 39, Hampshire 27: At Carpentersville, the Chargers came out on top for an FVC win. Kadin Malone had nine points and Terrion Spencer had eight for D-C.

Hampshire was led by Jaden Nelsen with eight points.

Cary-Grove 48, Jacobs 45: At Algonquin, the Trojans pulled out an FVC victory.

Christ the King 97, Marian Central Catholic 32: At Chicago, the Hurricanes dropped a Chicagoland Christian Conference game.

Girls basketball

Huntley 69, Crystal Lake Central 41: At Crystal Lake, Anna Campanelli scored 18 points to help the Red Raiders to an FVC win. Paula Strzelecki added 16 points.

Cary-Grove 48, Jacobs 18: At Algonquin, Ellie Mjaanes had 12 points and Sam Skerl added 11 to lead the Trojans to the FVC victory.

Hampshire 47, Dundee Crown 34: At Carpentersville, the Whip-Purs beat the Chargers for an FVC win.

Burlington Central 42, McHenry 27: At Burlington, the Rockets picked up an FVC win behind 10 points apiece from Audrey LaFleur and Ashley Waslo. McHenry was led by Avery Stinger with nine points and Gabby Grasser with six.

Christian Liberty 38, Alden-Hebron 35: At Hebron, the hosts came up short in Northeastern Athletic Conference action. Rileigh Gaddini had 16 points and Hayden Smith added 15 for A-H.

Boys bowling

Marengo 2,285, Johnsburg 2,064: At Glo-Bowl in Marengo, Hunter Pankow had a 633 series and 253 high game for the Indians in a dual win against the Skyhawks.

Johnsburg’s Matt Kurek rolled a 563 series.

Girls bowling

Huntley 2,869, Burlington Central 2,247: At Bowl-Hi Lanes in Huntley, Erica DeBello bowled a 569 series and 207 high game for the Red Raiders in a dual win against the Rockets. Pria Waters added a 498 series.

Boys wrestling

McHenry 44, Burlington Central 32: At McHenry, Ryan Hanson (132 pounds), Ryan Johnston (144), Carter Hoyt (150), Avian Roman (157), Aiden Schuldt (165), Aiden Fischler (175), Brody Lidbury (215) and Landen Owens (285) all won for McHenry.

Eduardo Vences (120), David Wyruchowski (126), Berry Yildirim (138) and Michael Junitz (190) won for Burlington.
