My last letter to the editor, submitted Nov. 12, 2024, was rejected because the Northwest Herald will now be publishing letters on local issues only. After such a divisive election, can an opinion days later still not be worthy of publication? Are all the readers of the Northwest Herald just saying, “Hey, it’s time to start looking who is running for mayor in my city?” This last presidential election will have a major effect on everyone who reads this local paper and it will have a major affect on all of America, including the local newspapers.
