Vote for your favorite holiday light displays in Lake in the Hills

Lake in the Hills residents have until midnight Friday to cast their ballots for who has the best holiday-themed house in town.

The village of Lake in the Hills announced on social media this week that it opened a vote for the best holiday home decorations. Categories people are asked to weigh in on include:

• The “Bing Crosby” award for best use of traditional decorations
• The “Light up the Village” award for most creative use of lights
• The “Rocking Around the Tree” award for “most whimsical presentation with movement, music and technology”
• Judges' Choice, chosen by majority vote

The participating homes are:

• 2770 Briarcliff Lane
• 403 Prides Run
• 1128 Heavens Gate
• 1089 Heavens Gate
• 1322 Monroe Street
• 16 Linden Street
• 4 Woody Way
• 114 Oakleaf Road
• 117 Lake Drive
• 10 Kurt Court
• 4 Kurt Court
• 6 Elizabeth Court

The winners will get a gift card, courtesy of Huntley Realty, according to the Lake in the Hills' Facebook. The winners will also be announced on the village website and social media.
