Whip-Pur Women’s Classic: At Hampshire, Woodstock (126 points) placed runner-up to Lincoln-Way Central (206½) in the 37-team tournament.
Woodstock’s Eva Hermansson was second at 110 pounds, Allison Hill was second at 235, Danica LaTessa was third at 120 and Hannah Olsen was third at 125.
Host Hampshire (101½ ) took fourth, Dundee-Crown (89) took fifth, Richmond-Burton (55½ ) was 14th, Jacobs (42) was 20th, Huntley (32) was 22nd, Crystal Lake Central (30) was 23rd, McHenry (22) was 27th, Crystal Lake South (18½ ) was 30th, Cary-Grove (14) was 32nd, Marengo (8) was 33rd and Prairie Ridge (4) was 35th.
Hampshire’s Amelia Nidelea-Polanin took runner-up at 120 pounds and Samantha Diehl was third at 190.
Dundee-Crown’s Diamond Rodriguez pinned Jacobs’ Julia Fenton in 39 seconds to win the 105-pound championship. D-C’s Mackenzie Lessner was third at 155.
Crystal Lake Central’s Cait Jones pinned Wheeling’s Nikol Orendarchuk in 5:43 to claim the 155-pound title.
Crystal Lake South’s Annalee Aarseth was third at 110.
Findlay Invite: At Findlay, Ohio, Huntley placed 22nd in the massive 81-team event. The Red Raiders’ Sara Willis finished seventh individually at 235 pounds.
Boys wrestling
Glenbrook South Rus Erb Tournament: At Glenview, Richmond-Burton won the 21-team championship with 177½ points. Sycamore placed second with 171 points. Burlington Central tied for 12th with 54.
Richmond-Burton’s Lelan Nelson won the 106-pound title, beating Sycamore’s Carson West by a 9-5 decision. Emmett Nelson took second at 144, Blake Livdahl was second at 175, and Adam Glauser (120) and Shane Falasca (215) both were third.
Burlington Central’s Eduardo Vences placed runner-up at 113.
Stillman Valley Holiday Invite: At Stillman Valley, Johnsburg (139½ points) placed fourth, Marengo (112) finished fifth and Dundee-Crown (107) was sixth in the 16-team tournament. Wheaton Academy was first with 178 points, just beating Oregon (175½).
Johnsburg’s Tanner Hansen beat Wheaton Academy’s Oscar Smith by a 12-3 major decision for the 126-pound title. Chase Vogel was second at 113, Landon Johnson was second at 138, Chase Davis was third at 120 and Duke Mays was third at 175.
Dundee-Crown’s Aiden Healey beat Stillman Valley’s Michael Pannarale by tech fall to take the 106-pound title. Chris Gerardo beat Johnsburg’s Johnson by a 4-1 decision to take the title at 138.
Marengo’s Frankie Solis defeated Stillman Valley’s Brady Stewart by fall to win the 190-pound championship. Owen Ostler was third at 150, Logan Boley was third at 157 and Conner Sacco was third at 215.
Harvard Sciacca-Holtfreter Tournament: At Harvard, Woodstock took fourth in the 16-team meet with 136½ points, host Harvard (91½) was seventh, Woodstock North (40) was 12th and Alden-Hebron (31) finished 14th. Wheeling ran away with the title with 269½ points.
Woodstock’s Taqi Baker beat Wheeling’s Joey Romano by a 4-1 decision to win the 126-pound title. Edgar Arana took second at 175, Landyn White took third at 138, Logan Wisner was third at 157 and Everett Flannery was third at 285.
Harvard’s Danny Rosas placed first at 165 pounds, beating North Boone’s Maysen Smith by pin. Brennan Peters placed runner-up at 144.
Alden-Hebron’s Logan Crowell took second at 190 and Riley Krumsee was third at 106.
Girls basketball
Plano 46, Harvard 27: At Richmond, the Hornets lost to the Reapers in the championship game of the Richmond-Burton Christmas Tournament. Analyse Gomez and Gisselle Albarran each had eight points to lead Harvard.
Johnsburg 61, Fenton 30: At Richmond, Summer Toussaint had 20 points as the Skyhawks beat the Bison to take third at the R-B Christmas Tournament. Skye Toussaint added 14 points and Kimmy Whitlock had 13.
Harvard 66, Fenton 44: At Richmond, Ava Peceniak scored 26 points for the Hornets in their R-B Christmas Tournament semifinal win over the Bison. Summer Jones chipped in 14 points, Mayra Hyde had 12 and Jackie Silva had 10.
Plano 45, Johnsburg 42: At Richmond, the Skyhawks dropped their R-B Christmas Tournament semifinal to the Reapers. Summer Toussaint tallied 15 points, Ava Jablonski had eight points and Skye Toussaint and Carlie Majercik each had six points.
Richmond-Burton 45, South Beloit 31: At Richmond, the Rockets defeated the Sobos in their R-B Christmas Tournament game behind 18 points and four 3s from Meadow Rosendahl. Lilly Kwapniewski had nine points for R-B.
Belvidere North 37, Richmond-Burton 29: At Richmond, the Rockets lost their final game of the R-B Christmas Tournament. Rosendahl scored 14 points and Matilda Furzland had seven.
Mother McAuley 49, Cary-Grove 39: At Libertyville, the Trojans fell to the Mighty Macs in their opening game of the Libertyville Winter Classic.

Woodstock 71, St. Edward 60: At Woodstock, Max Beard recorded 25 points and five steals for the Blue Streaks in a nonconference victory. Liam Laidig scored 16 points and JJ Stokes added nine.
Glenbrook South 62, McHenry 45: At McHenry, Caleb Jett and Adam Anwar had 10 points apiece for the Warriors in a nonconference loss to the Titans. Haydn Schmidt added nine points.
Rockford Christian 67, Woodstock North 33: At Marengo, the Thunder lost their opening game of the E.C. Nichols Holiday Classic.
Richmond-Burton 70, Rochelle 66: At Marengo, the Rockets held off the Hubs for an opening win at the E.C. Nichols Holiday Classic.
Stillman Valley 65, Crystal Lake Central 51: At Marengo, the Tigers fell to the Cardinals to open play at the E.C. Nichols Holiday Classic.
Glenbard South 52, Marengo 22: At Marengo, the host Indians lost to the Raiders at the E.C. Nichols Holiday Classic.

Dane Walker Invite: At Strike and Spare in Lockport, Huntley placed fourth in the 14-team event with a 5,340 six-game series. Harlem took first with 5,926.
Erica DeBello was sixth with a 1,149 series, Ashlyn Tenglin (1,133) was 10th and Katie Scaletta (1,101) was 15th.
