Huntley 66, Maine West 14: At Carpentersville, senior guard Anna Campanelli scored a game-high 20 points and became the eighth player in Red Raiders history to reach 1,000 career points in a first-round win at the Dundee-Crown Komaromy Holiday Classic.

A major milestone achieved!

Paula Strzelecki added 10 points and Isabella Boskey had seven. Huntley (11-0) will face New Trier at 8 p.m. Friday.
Jacobs 55, Elgin 33: At the Wheaton North Bill Neibch Holiday Classic, the Golden Eagles picked up their first win of the tournament.
Maine South 67, Hampshire 24: At the Dundee-Crown Komaromy Holiday Classic, Jiselle Lopez scored seven points to lead the Whips (3-8) in a loss. Chloe Van Horn added five points for Hampshire.
Naperville North 65, Burlington Central 44: At the Montini Christmas Tournament, Kelsey Convey scored 10 points for the Rockets (3-9), but they couldn’t pick up a win.
Rockford Auburn 54, Cary-Grove 46: At the Libertyville Winter Classic, Ellie Mjaanes led the Trojans (8-5) with 21 points in a loss.
St. Charles North 72, Dundee-Crown 15: At the Dundee-Crown Komaromy Holiday Classic, the Chargers (1-9) couldn’t keep up in their tournament loss.
Boys basketball
Burlington Central 56, Marian Catholic 54: At the Hinsdale Central Holiday Tournament, the Rockets overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to win their tournament opener.
Woodstock 87, Marian Central 79: At the Elgin Holiday Tournament, Max Beard scored 30 points to lead the Blue Streaks past the Hurricanes. Collin Greenlee finished with 20 points for Woodstock (5-5), while Joey Nitz and Liam Laidig each scored 12 points.
Finn Pivnicka led the Hurricanes (3-10) with 22 points, followed by Colin Kowalsky with 16, Stef Stojich with 15 and Adam Wrzos with 10.
McHenry 63, Schurz 30: At the East Aurora Holiday Tournament, Adam Anwar led the Warriors with 17 points and seven rebounds to lead them to their second win of the tournament. Caleb Jett added 14 points and three rebounds for McHenry (10-1) while Dylan Hurckes finished with nine points.
Manley 64, Huntley 61: At the DeKalb Chuck Dayton Holiday Classic, Christian Wilson scored 22 points, but the Red Raiders couldn’t earn a win. William Dillon had 12 points for Huntley (3-7), while Logan Darragh added 11.
Niles Notre Dame 56, Hampshire 41: At the Wheeling Hardwood Classic, Ryan Prowicz scored 21 points to lead the Whip-Purs in their second loss of the tournament. Evan Wurtz added five points and eight rebounds.
Neuqua Valley 59, Dundee-Crown 25: At the DeKalb Chuck Dayton Holiday Classic, Amos Bynum led the Chargers (3-6) with seven points in a loss. Terrion Spencer added five points.
Cary-Grove 59, Jacobs 54: At Algonquin, Adam Bauer and AJ Berndt scored 13 points apiece for the Trojans in a Hinkle Holiday Classic win. Justice German had 12 points and Landon Nawracaj chipped in 11. C-G will play Geneva for fifth place at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Jacobs was led by Ben Jurzak with 22 points and four 3s. The Eagles will play Naperville North for seventh place at 3 p.m. Friday.
