Newbill Invite: At Geneva, Dundee-Crown’s Aiden Healey was the individual champion at 106 pounds as the Chargers finished sixth in the 18-team tournament. D-C’s Zach Anderson (190) and Teigen Moreno (215) were runner-up, while Chris Gerardo (132) took third, Roy Ramirez (285) took fifth and Jadon Wheatley (150) took sixth.
XLIX Sycamore Invite: At Sycamore, Hampshire’s Deegan Kirschke (113 pounds) and Aidan Rowells (175) and McHenry’s Ryan Hanson (132) all finished runner-up in the 25-team event. The Warriors were 13th, Hampshire took 15th and Marengo was 21st.
McHenry’s Ryan Johnston (144) and Aiden Schuldt (165) placed fifth. Hampshire’s Lou Jensen (120) was fourth, Knox Homola (285) was fifth and Chris Napiorkowski (150) was sixth. Marengo’s Hayden Beebe (132) was sixth.
Waubonsie Valley Mega Dual: At Aurora, Crystal Lake Central went 4-0 with wins over Oswego East (72-6), Lemont (58-18), Round Lake (70-6) and Deerfield (49-29).
Girls bowling
Sycamore Matt Clark Invite: At Mardi Gras Lanes in DeKalb, Huntley finished second as a team, getting a third-place finish from Erica DeBello with a 1,200 six-game series.
Huntley (5,433) was 550 pins behind champion Oswego East (5,983).
The Red Raiders’ Mackenzie Miller (1,141) was 14th, Pria Waters (1,123) was 17th and Ashlyn Tenglin (1,031) was 22nd.

Crystal Lake South 71, Woodstock North 52: At Woodstock, AJ Demirov poured in 31 points for the Gators in a nonconference win against the Thunder. Carson Trivellini chipped in 11 points and Ryan Morgan had 10.
Cary-Grove 49, Vernon Hills 47: At Cary, Justice German led the Trojans past the Cougars with 17 points in nonconference action.
Jacobs 49, Lake Zurich 40: At Algonquin, the Golden Eagles held off the Bears for a nonconference victory.
Girls basketball
Marengo 52, Harvard 14: At Harvard, Gabby Gieseke drilled six 3-pointers and scored 20 points in the Indians’ Kishwaukee River Conference win over the Hornets. Emilie Polizzi had 10 points and two 3s and Mia Feidt had six points.
Plano 55, Richmond-Burton 21: At Richmond, the Rockets fell to the Reapers in KRC action.
