Five people, including an infant, were taken to area hospitals following a T-bone crash late Saturday in Woodstock, but all injuries were considered minor, according to a Woodstock Fire/Rescue District spokesman.
Crews were called at about 9:51 p.m. to the intersection of South Tryon and West Calhoun streets for the report of a two-vehicle crash, according to district spokesman Alex Vucha. On arrival, they found a T-bone collision involving a white minivan and a silver SUV, both with moderate damage.
Inside the minivan were two adult females and a baby. They were transported to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with minor injuries. There were four juveniles in the SUV. Two were taken to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital with minor injuries, and the other two were released at the scene, Vucha said.
Roads leading into the intersection were closed during the incident and investigation to ensure the safety of responders and those involved, he said. The Marengo Fire & Rescue District and the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department aided during the incident response.
The Woodstock Police Department is investigating the crash.
