McHenry man pleads guilty to cocaine charge and dissemination of a sexual image

A McHenry man has been sentenced to four years in prison in a plea deal after he faced Class X felony charges of possessing cocaine and fentanyl.

Gregory P. Bliznick, 54, of the 5300 block of West Cleveland Avenue, McHenry, entered the guilty plea Friday before Judge Mark Gerhardt to one count of possession of 15 to 100 grams of cocaine.

He also pleaded guilty to one count of nonconsensual dissemination of a sexual image, according to court documents.

Bliznick was sentenced to two years in prison for nonconsensual dissemination of a sexual image, a Class 4 felony, which will run concurrently, or at the same time, with the four-year drug sentence.

In exchange for the sexual image plea, a charge of one count of manufacturing harmful material was dropped.

In exchange for the drug offense plea, two Class X felony drug charges and another Class 4 felony drug charge were dropped, according to court records.

Bliznick originally was charged in July with possession and possession with intent to deliver 15 to 100 grams of cocaine and possession and possession with intent to deliver 15 to 100 grams of fentanyl, according to the original indictment.
