Two men were hospitalized with burns from an industrial incident Friday morning in Richmond, according to the Richmond Township Fire Protection District.
The fire department was called out about 7:30 a.m. Friday to a business on Burlington Road, according to a news release.
Richmond Township fire crews were on another call at the time, and a Spring Grove Fire Protection District ambulance arrived at the scene about 7:45 a.m.
Fire crews found two men with burns “from an industrial incident” when they arrived, but the men were conscious, alert and stable, according to the release.
They were taken to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital by ambulance, and one was later transferred to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, according to the release.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was called to the scene, and the incident is under investigation, according to the release.
