Letter: Maplewood project can be more than apartments

I am writing this regarding the Maplewood Development Plan.

Do we want to put our name on a mediocre project or something we can be proud of? Let us not be another unrecognizable town with glaring towers of apartments. Let us use this opportunity to do better!

Let us hark back to a time when we supported our local business such as the Pixie, Hartley’s and the local bakery.

The Maplewood property could be so much more than a high-density apartment complex. Let our next generation cherish the sense of community that will be etched in our minds forever.
