Burlington Central places 3rd at IHSA Competitive Dance State Finals

Rockets were only local team to advance to Saturday’s finals

IHSA State Finals: At Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington, Burlington Central finished third in Class 2A with a score of 92.02. Geneva won the title with 96.86 points, followed by Lake Zurich (94.38) in second.

The Rockets were the Northwest Herald area’s only team to advance to the finals after placing second to Geneva in Friday’s preliminaries.

Crystal Lake South just missed advancing to the finals. The Gators took 13th with 84.36 points in the preliminaries on Friday. The 12th and final qualifying spot went to Deerfield (84.58).

In Class 3A, Jacobs fell two spots short of advancing to the finals on Friday. The Golden Eagles finished 14th with a score of 88.50. Oswego East (89.52) grabbed the 12th and final qualifying spot.
