Letter: All news is local

There is only one way to view the Herald’s new policy on only accepting Letters to the Editor on local issues … that they are trying to limit information and discussion among citizens. A newspaper that limits free speech, how novel! You can only assume that they are scared or opposed to what they think what people may have to say or they want to attempt to control what people think. All news is one way or another local. I have become embarrassed to say the NW Herald is my local paper …so I for one will stop saying it.

I challenge you to once again allow citizens to express their thoughts on the world, nation, state and community … and if you are concerned about misinformation then fact check or ask people to include sources or state that it is just their opinion.
