As voters, haven’t we had enough of politicians who think they know better how to spend our money and who push their agenda on us?
Bobbi Baehne thinks it’s her turn next to be alderperson for Ward 1 in the city of McHenry and she said in the Northwest Herald Nov. 4, 2024 edition, ”We (she and Vic Santi, present Ward 1 Alderman) have been talking about this for a couple of months.” On her website, she says, “McHenry should be a destination for surrounding communities.” Isn’t that the same thing Algonquin, Crystal Lake and Woodstock are trying to do?
She also says her focus is on downtown development, affordable housing solutions, and new business growth. Isn’t downtown McHenry already busting at the seams? Shouldn’t we be focused on helping these downtown businesses survive, where to park, traffic on 120, and the businesses on Front Street, Richmond Road, and access to Northwestern Medicine? What about the hard-working families who simply want a decent, safe community to raise their children? What about helping preserve the great educational programs McHenry has to offer?
I’m voting common sense. I’m voting for Mark Seaquist for alderman Ward 1 McHenry!
