A Crystal Lake man remained at the McHenry County Jail Wednesday after police say he hid behind a dumpster to avoid officers while he was in possession of LSD, cocaine and ecstasy.
Jordan P. Carmody, 26, is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, obstruction of justice and resisting a peace officer.
He’s accused in a seven-count criminal complaint of possessing 20 ecstasy tablets, as many as 15 grams of cocaine and three tabs of LSD. Carmody, of the 1500 block of Briarwood Circle, also is accused of hiding behind a dumpster and attempting to conceal himself between two houses while police tried to arrest him on a warrant, according to the complaint.
At the time of his arrest on Tuesday, Carmody was wanted by Lake in the Hills police in connection with an unrelated situation, court records show.
Those allegations, which were charged in a separate case, accuse Carmody of speeding at least 21 mph above the speed limit and failing to stop for officers who attempted to pull over Carmody’s vehicle.
Carmody remained at the county jail Wednesday afternoon on a $180,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for Monday morning.
