The McHenry High School Foundation Committee will be accepting nominations for McHenry High School Distinguished Graduate until Tuesday.
Distinguished Graduate is an award in recognition of McHenry High School alumni who have excelled through career achievements, humanitarian work and community service. To be considered for the award, nominees must have graduated from McHenry High School District 156 at least 15 years ago.
Criteria used to determine honorees include having a wide sphere of influence, making a positive impact on the community, overcoming difficulties to reach goals, serving humanities and inspiring others.
Graduates selected for the award will be invited to participate in McHenry High School homecoming festivities, including a reception in a special alumni tent at the football game.
Judging will be conducted by members of the community, McHenry High School staff and Foundation Committee members. For more details, contact Carl Vallianatos at 815-385-7900.
