A living history event at the historic Powers-Walker House at Glacial Park Conservation Area will let visitors learn about the first woman to raise a family in the 1854 Greek revival home.
The house will be open for hourly tours during the event, “Meet Mary Powers,” which will take place noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 6, at the home, 6201 Harts Road, Ringwood, according to a news release.
Volunteers in historical attire will be available to answer questions, according to the release. The Powers-Walker House is open to the public only a handful of times each year.
The event is open to all ages and free to attend, according to the release. Registration is required and space is limited.
