Two patients were flown to the hospital after an all-terrain vehicle crash in unincorporated Woodstock late Friday night.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the crash site at 10500 block of Thoroughbred Trail, according to a news release.
The fire-rescue crew was told by McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies that there were two patients involved, both suffering from serious head injuries. Two helicopters responded with Woodstock North High School acting as the landing zone.
The first rescuers on the scene were advised that a four-wheel ATV struck a tree, leaving two people in an embankment. The pair received medical attention and then were flown by LifeNet and Flight For Life to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
