Fox River to temporarily close to boat traffic south of McHenry

The Fox River will be temporarily closed to boat traffic Tuesday morning so that AT&T can conducting an emergency replacement of a utility line across the river, the Fox Waterway Agency advised Monday.

The closure will take place about 9 a.m. to noon on the lower Fox River near 2227 Riverside Drive West in McHenry, according to a news release.

The location is south of downtown McHenry and north of Holiday Hills.
