The McHenry County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified 27-year-old Antioch resident Kenneth Jackson as the man who died Thursday morning after being struck by a driver charged with driving under the influence.

Jackson was taken from the scene to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the coroner’s office said in a news release Monday. Preliminary findings from an autopsy performed Friday show the cause of death to be blunt force trauma, according to the release.

Toxicology tests from the autopsy are pending, according to the release , and the coroner’s office is continuing to work with police on the investigation into the incident.

Steven W. Foulk, 67, of Island Lake, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident following the crash, McHenry police said in a release Thursday.

Police said the motorcycle was headed south on Chapel Hill Road about 2 a.m. and stopped in the center lane near the Route 120 intersection when it was struck by a Toyota Camry driven by Foulk.

McHenry County Jail records show Foulk was released on bond Sunday.
