Lake in the Hills to host trick-or-treating at police department’s Safety Town

The Lake in the Hills Police Department is hosting its 18th annual trick-or-treat event 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at its Safety Town behind the Irv Floress Safety Education Center, 1109 Crystal Lake Road.

The Lake in the Hills Police Department is hosting its 18th annual trick-or-treat event where candy can be collected building-to-building at its Safety Town behind the Irv Floress Safety Education Center, 1109 Crystal Lake Road.

The Frightful Friday event, which will run from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 29, is free and open to all ages, according to a news release.

In addition to trick-or-treating, children can meet “family-friendly monsters, ghosts and ghouls,” along with Lake in the Hills police officers, team members, community volunteers and elected officials from the village of Lake in the Hills and the Algonquin Area Public Library, according to the release.
