Person injured in rollover crash near Marengo

One person was injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash Thursday morning near Marengo.

Firefighters and paramedics from the Marengo Fire & Rescue District responded around 8 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Kishwaukee Valley and Noe roads northwest of Marengo for a reported rollover crash, district spokesman Alex Vucha said.

Responding firefighters found a vehicle rolled over in a ditch near the intersection, Vucha said. Firefighters worked to stabilize the vehicle and extract the driver.

The driver was the only person in the small passenger vehicle and was taken to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with minor injuries, Vucha said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

An attempt to reach the sheriff’s office Friday was not immediately successful.
