Lucy’s Comedy Live offers the best stand-up comedy in the ‘burbs! Raue Center For The Arts brings the best stand-up comics in the Chicagoland area close to home with Lucy’s Comedy, Raue Center’s longest-running program, curated by comic and radio personality John DaCosse.

Sick of flowers and candy? Give the gift of laughter this Valentine’s Day! Join us on February 14th at 8:30 p.m. for headliner Maggie Hughes DePalo, featuring RCSA Stand-Up Comedy alums Tricia Babischkin and Catherine Strauss, hosted by John DaCosse.

Maggie Hughes DePalo is a Chicago stand-up comedian, born and raised on the city’s south side. After getting married and having children, Maggie jumped into the comedy scene later in life when she realized it’s a lot more fun than BookClub. Her deadpan style and sarcastic storytelling have won over audiences of all ages. Maggie has performed at Zanies, Laugh Factory, Comedy Bar, The Lincoln Lodge, CYSK Chicago, and several private and corporate events. She is also a co-founder and producer of All ThatGoodStuff, a comedy showcase founded on the south side of Chicago.

Long-time friend of the Raue and occasional bartender Tricia Babischkin has recently started her foray into comedy. Catherine Strauss comes to you from the rough and tough streets of Barrington, Illinois. As raunchy as a midwestern mom can get (without waking the neighbors), she talks about the good ol' days of being single, raising children, and her current life as a menopausal empty nester.

Host John DaCosse is known as a WGN Radio personality and the curator of Raue Center’s Lucy’s Comedyseries. During his 30-plus years in stand-up comedy, the brilliant DaCosse has developed a solid reputation nationwide. He has opened for big names like Ellen DeGeneres, George Lopez, Craig Ferguson, and Billy Gardell, and has appeared on NBC, Comedy Central, and TBS. DaCosse has also served as an audience warm-up for Rosie O’Donnell and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

On Friday, February 15 at7p.m., enjoy family-friendly, interactive improv comedy with GreenRoom Improv! For over 20 years, GreenRoom Improv has performed nationally for a wide range of audiences and events and is a returning resident company at Raue Center, performing almost every month. Join them at Raue Center For The Arts for a night of clean, family-friendly, high-energy, multi-faceted improv comedy.
