Boaters asked to avoid Rock River dam area near Dixon on Saturday

DIXON – Boaters are being asked to avoid traveling on the Rock River near Dixon’s dam on Saturday, Sept. 14, so as not to interfere with firefighters’ river rescue training.

Starting at 8 a.m., the Dixon Fire and Dixon Rural fire departments will begin training. Several boats will be in the water, and fire department vehicles will be parked in the vicinity. The activity will last most of the morning.
