Fulton 52, Scales Mound 48: Jacob Huisenga scored 19 points, and Jacob Voss had 14 in the win for Fulton (3-4).

Galena 59, Morrison 52: Dawson Hepner scored a game-high 21 points for Morrison in the home loss. The Mustangs were outscored 16-9 in the fourth quarter.

River Ridge 60, Milledgeville 50: Karter Livengood’s 14 points led the Missiles in the loss, with Micah Toms-Smith (10 points) and Bryson Wiersema (10) also reaching double figures.

Forreston 42, Orangeville 25: Brendan Greenfield scored 11 points, and Joey Kober had 10 for Forreston (3-2, 1-1) in the win.

Girls basketball

Oregon 41, Forreston 22: Aniyah Sarver scored 14 points at home for Oregon (4-5), which won its second straight game. Ella Dannhorn added 11 points for the Hawks. Hailee Vogt led Forreston (2-6) with 10 points.

Boys swimming

Sterling 76.5, LaSalle-Peru 71.5: Sterling opened the season with a tight dual win as Colin Askegaard won the 200-yard individual medley and the 100 breaststroke. He also joined Patrick Riley, Conner Porter and Lucas Porter in a 200 medley relay win to open the meet.

Boys bowling

Oregon 3,820, St. Bede 2,807: Oregon (10-1) rolled its season high, led by Matthew Stahl’s 722 three-game series. In JV action, Aiden Currier bowled a 782 (218-257-247) series, the second highest total in Oregon program history at any level. Senior Gavvin Surmo’s 802 is the school record, set last season. Oregon’s JV also set the JV team record with a 3,552 series.

Girls bowling

St. Bede 2025, Oregon 2014: Carli Bailey led Oregon’s four bowlers with a 488 series.

Boys wrestling

Sterling 42, United Township 37: Earning pins for Sterling were Cael Lyons, Zyan Westbrook, Jonahas Tyne, Tatum Allen, Gage Tate and Oswaldo Navarro.

Morrison splits: Morrison fell 56-22 to Lena-Winslow and beat Amboy 45-24 in triangular action. Patrick Schaefer won a major decision against Le-Win and had a pin in 18 seconds against Amboy at 126 pounds.

Girls wrestling

Sterling 60, United Township 12: Sterling won the dual due to forfeits as Skyann Munz and Olivia Cathey both fell in their matches by fall.
