Boys basketball
Sterling 68, Alleman 51: The Golden Warriors snapped a four-game skid with a Western Big 6 Conference win over Alleman (1-9, 1-3). Sterling (4-5, 1-3) was led in scoring by Bryce Hartman, who had 19 points after hitting 5-of-7 3-pointers. Maddux Osborn added 17 points and Nico Battaglia and Kaedon Phillips (four assists) each scored 11 for Sterling.
Lena-Winslow 67, Oregon 55: The Hawks fell in the fifth-place game at the Forreston tournament as Keaton Salsbury led the team with 18 points. Oregon’s Kade Girton scored a dozen and was named second-team all-tournament.
Fulton 49, Bureau Valley 34: Braeden Brennan led the Steamers with 21 points and Braedon Meyers scored nine in the home win.
Girls basketball
Fulton 53, Bureau Valley 46: The Steamers had a comeback win at home in the non-conference matchup as Kylie Smither led Fulton with 22 points. BV led 35-15 at halftime before Fulton had a 38-11 advantage after the break. Libby Endress led the Storm with 15 points.
Boys bowling
Oregon 3,748, South Beloit 3,591: The Hawks (13-1) rolled their second-highest total of the season as Gavvin Surmo’s 696 series led the team.
Girls bowling
Nagy leads Oregon: The Oregon girls competed as individuals against South Beloit as Savannah Nagy led the Hawks with a 191 high game and 442 series.
